MG ZS EV 10,000 Units Sold – Driving The EV Revolution In India

Today MG has announced that its ZS EV has surpassed an impressive sales milestone of over 10,000 units in India. This EV was introduced in 2020 and is available in two variants; Excite and Exclusive.

MG offers the ZS EV with multiple charging options, making it a practical choice. MG currently offers five sets of charging options, such as DC super-fast chargers, AC fast chargers, AC fast chargers at MG dealerships, portable chargers with ZS EV, and 24X7 RSA – for mobile charging support.

They also introduced the MG Charge Initiative that’ll place 1000 fast chargers in public spaces across India within 1000 days. Additionally, the company offers free installation of a fast charger at the homes/offices of ZS EV owners.

The MG ZS EV houses a 50.3kWh prismatic cell battery pack, powering the motor, which produces 173bhp and 280Nm of torque. This enables the MG ZS EV to accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 8.5 seconds and a range of 461km (claimed).

This technically sound SUV offers plenty of features like a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, PM 2.5 air filter, a digital key with Bluetooth technology, rear-drive assist, a 360-degree camera with rear parking sensors and Hill Descent Control.

Regarding safety, ZE EV has a 5 Star rating by ASEAN NCAP. Additional safety features include 6 Airbags, Seat Belt Warning, Child Lock, Child Seat Anchor Points, Overspeed Warning, Speed Sensing Door Lock, an Anti-theft Engine immobilizer, a Middle rear three-point seatbelt, a Flashing Emergency Brake Light, and Central Locking.

The MG ZE EV is priced at Rs 23.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Excite variant and up to Rs 27.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end Exclusive DT variant.
