New Hero Vida VX2 Teaser Reveals Budget EV Scooter’s Front Design

Hero MotoCorp is set to expand its electric two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of the new Vida VX2 electric scooter on July 1, targeting budget-conscious buyers in India. The VX2 will be positioned below the current Vida V2, with a competitive expected starting price of Rs 65,000, making it one of the most affordable electric scooters in Hero’s lineup.

The Vida VX2 is expected to arrive in Lite, Plus, and Pro variants, each likely offering different battery capacities. While official specifications are yet to be revealed, the VX2 will likely feature basic analogue control, a non-touch instrument cluster, and a conventional key start, in contrast to the more premium Vida V2, which comes equipped with keyless ignition and a 7-inch touchscreen display.

This deliberate feature reduction is part of Hero’s strategy to penetrate the entry-level electric scooter market, currently dominated by rivals such as the Ola S1X and TVS iQube 2kWh variant.

Hero MotoCorp has rolled out a teaser for the VX2, highlighting the scooter’s design, which strongly resembles the Vida Z concept first shown at the 2025 Auto Expo. The campaign features Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

The upcoming launch of the VX2 marks Hero MotoCorp’s intensified focus on EV adoption in India. The two-wheeler giant is diversifying its electric scooter range to appeal to a wider audience. Hero currently retails the Vida V2 starting at Rs 74,000, and the introduction of a sub-Rs 70,000 model could significantly boost its presence in the EV segment.
