Oben’s New O100 Platform To Power 100cc-Equivalent EVs

Oben Electric is working on a new electric motorcycle platform. It is called the O100 and will be used on a new 100cc-equivalent electric model. The company said in an official press statement that this upcoming product will have a sticker price of less than Rs 1 lakh. The new platform will be highly scalable and allow multiple variants, battery options, and functionalities. It will also enable easy integration with the latest technologies. Oben will likely use the O100 for multiple products targeted at the affordable commuter segment.

The O100 is the second electric motorcycle platform developed by Oben Electric. The first was the ARX, which underpins the Rorr and Rorr EZ. Rorr is a neo-retro style EV bike with a sticker price of Rs 1.49 lakh. It comes with a 4.4 kWh battery pack, which offers 187 km range on one charge. The Rorr EZ is a more affordable model and is available with three battery pack options: 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh. Prices start from Rs 89,999 and go up to Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
