Petrol Pump Refused To Accept Rs 2000 Note – What Happened Next Is Hilarious And The Video Has Gone Viral

The Rs 2000 note has been controversial from the moment it was introduced by the government. Recently, in another bizarre move by the government, the Rs 2000 note has been instructed to be exchanged or deposited in accounts by September 30.

Though not a sudden move as the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, the move to withdraw the Rs 2000 note has definitely created some chaos and confusion among the public.

Now, a video of a man who tried to fill up petrol in his scooter using a Rs 2000 note has gone viral. Though a cheeky way to exchange the Rs 2000 note, the employees at the petrol pump outsmarted the scooter owner.

In the now-viral video, the employee of the petrol pump can be seen retrieving the petrol from the scooter after the owner tried to pay for the fuel with his Rs 2000 note.

This 29-second viral video was shared on Twitter by Haidar Naqvi, and his tweet states “In Jalaun, a man presents a Rs 2000 note at a petrol pump. The pump attendant refuses to accept the note and proceeds to siphon out the previously filled petrol from the scooter.”

According to initial reports, the incident took place at an HP petrol pump in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, when a man filled up petrol for Rs 400 and attempted to pay for the fuel with a Rs 2000 note.

However, things took a turn when the employee of the petrol pump refused to accept the Rs 2000 note. Since the owner of the cooter failed to pay for the petrol, the employee of the petrol pump began emptying the fuel from the scooter.

Though RBI has announced the withdrawal of the Rs 2000 note, the currency is valid till September 30. As such, the action by HP employees is wrong. However, the scooter owner can also be partially blamed for the incident for pulling a cheeky move to exchange the Rs 2000 note.
