The TVS XL 100 is a dedicated utility moped built specifically for heavy-duty daily use, budget-conscious buyers, and practical cargo-carrying needs. Recognized for its exceptionally lightweight frame ranging between 88 to 89 kilograms and sturdy overall build, it features a wide rear seat that can be conveniently removed to transport goods. While the broader XL moped lineup traces its origins back to 1980 with 50cc models, the modern 4-stroke iteration was launched in 2015 and later transitioned significantly with BS-VI compliance upgrades and ETFi technology introduction in 2020.

Performance and Capability

As the only petrol-powered moped currently available for sale in the Indian market, the vehicle runs on a 99.7cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke fuel-injected engine. Paired with a twist-and-go automatic transmission utilizing a centrifugal clutch, the motor puts out 4.3bhp of power at 6000 rpm and 6.5Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. Despite its utilitarian purpose, it manages a top speed of 58kph while providing an ARAI-certified mileage figure of 67kpl alongside user-reported efficiencies around 54.64 kmpl.
