A heavily camouflaged test mule of an upcoming next-generation Bajaj Pulsar has been spotted undergoing road evaluations. Although initial speculations linked the test vehicle to an updated Pulsar N125, multiple visible attributes strongly indicate it is actually the next-generation Pulsar 125 Classic instead.

Styling Clues And Configurations

On close inspection, the motorcycle does not feature the prominent, robust fork shrouds that characterize the styling of the N125. Despite the camouflage wrap, the general outline and fuel-tank profile align closer to the smoother, more rounded design of the existing Pulsar 125 rather than the sharper, aggressive lines found on the N125.

Photographs reveal multiple test units featuring both single-seat and split-seat layouts. This configuration mimics the current Pulsar 125 portfolio, whereas the Pulsar N125 is sold exclusively with a split-seat arrangement. Additional components like the belly pan, rear tyre hugger, and enclosed chain drive match the specifications of the current Classic Pulsar family.

Furthermore, the wheel design appears identical to the rims currently utilized on the 125cc models, helping rule out the Pulsar 150.

New Platform And Expected Mechanicals

While precise specifications remain unconfirmed, the test mule employs a monoshock for rear suspension duties. This differs from the twin shock absorbers equipped on the current Classic Pulsar 125 and 150 variants, suggesting that these upcoming next-generation models will be built on an entirely new chassis.

The motorcycle is expected to incorporate a brand-new engine, though it remains undetermined if this powerplant will share any relation with the engines powering the N-series Pulsar models. It is not yet clear what other mechanical updates will accompany the new platform.

Launch Timeline And Buyer Outlook

Automobil India previously reported late last year that the manufacturer was developing a comprehensive upgrade for its Classic Pulsar lineup, encompassing both the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. Built upon a completely new platform, this rollout was slated for a launch around August 2026. The recently photographed test mule aligns with this anticipated timeline, and additional information will be published as it becomes available.
