Royal Enfield Trademarks Guerrilla 450 Name- Upcoming Triumph Speed 400 Rival?

Royal Enfield is ready to launch another major product in the Indian market. The new bike will be a roadster and based on the recent leak will be called Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. It is to be noted that this bike will be based on the Sherpa 450 engine used by the brand in the Himalayan 450. It is to be noted that even before any official announcement, the bike has started gaining attention because of the previously leaked spy shots of the two-wheeler.

Based on the earlier spy shots, the bike has a very similar design to the Hunter 350 sold in the Indian market. To be specific it gets a newly designed tear-drop-shaped fuel tank and round LED headlamp. The design of the seat is unique and very different compared to the previous motorcycles of the brand. Moving ahead, justifying its characteristics of a roadster the bike gets a long tail which is equipped with LED lights. Taking a closer look, the shape of the exhaust is very similar to the unit used on the Himalayan 450.

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been equipped with front forks and a monoshock at the rear end. Furthermore, the brand has used disc brakes for both ends. The bike holds the ground with newly designed alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tires.

The previous spy shots also gave a sneak peek into the frame and subframe of the bike which seems to be very similar to Himalayan 450. As mentioned earlier, the bike with a neo-retro design uses the Sherpa 450. The 452 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine gives out 39.4 bhp of power and 40 Nm of peak torque. The power unit is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is likely to be launched in July. Once in the market, the bike will itself go against models like Triumph Speed 400, Hero Mavrick 440, KTM 390 Duke, Harley Davidson X440, and others.
