Sourav Ganguly, the cricket legend and former captain of the Indian team, is widely recognized for his aggressive batting style and bold leadership choices. Despite his fame and success, Ganguly has never been known for an exotic car collection, except for owning a convertible.
Now, years after his retirement from cricket, the “Prince of Kolkata” had grabbed the headlines again with his recent purchase of a brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLS 400 SUV. Social media is flooded with the pictures of Ganguly’s latest beast.
The dealership, Benchmark Interkrafts shared pictures of Ganguly taking delivery on their social media handles. However, Ganguly only took the delivery of the key. The car was later delivered to his residence. According to the pictures, Ganguly’s wife, Dona Ganguly, officially took the delivery of their new Mercedes-Benz GLS.
The GLS 400d is the only variant available in India, and this luxurious SUV is priced at around Rs 1.29 crore(ex-showroom, Delhi). This German marvel is only offered in diesel and houses a powerful 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine, delivering 326bhp of power and 700Nm of peak torque.
