Tata Motors’ EV Sales Witness Double Digit Drop In April 2025, Exports Increase 233%

Domestic automaker has revealed its sales figures for the month of April 2025. Total passenger vehicle sales for the brand stood at 45,532 units last month, compared to 47,983 in the same month the previous year, observing a year-on-year decline of 5%. Domestic PV sales also decreased by 6%, with 45,199 units sold in April 2025, compared to 47,883 units in April 2024.

In April 2024, Tata Motors sold 6,364 electric vehicles. These include domestic as well as exports. In April 2025, the homegrown automaker’s EV sales stood at 5,318 units, marking a year-on-year decrease of 16%.

Though Tata Motors observed an overall decline in domestic sales last month, exports for the brand grew triple-digit compared to the same month last year. In April 2025, the brand exported 333 units, marking an increase of 233% over April 2024, when the exports for the brand stood at 100 units.
