Engine and Performance:
The power of this model is driven through a 249 cc single-cylinder, oil-coolant engine which promises 26.5 PS at 9,300 Rpm and 22.2 Nm at 7,300 Rpm. This is linked to a handsome six-speed manual gearbox.
Flex-Fuel Capability:
The Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel variant is developed to run on ethanol_bl Flexible fuel, that is, it takes ethanol mixtures up to 85% ethanol (E85). This capability is supported by improved parts including the fuel injector, fuel filter as well as the fuel pump.
Top Speed and Mileage:
As far as the top speed and the mileage issues are concerned, it is rather mentioned that the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel variant specific top speed or the actual number of miles on a single tank may vary and, however, the regular Gixxer SF 250 top speed is somewhere around 150 km/h which comes along with a mileage of 35-40 km/l on a slower riding test cycle. As is expected from a flex fuel vehicle, actual fuel efficiency upon further testing should be anywhere near the standard 27.2 km/L; actual results may however significantly differ depending on the fuel mix and the riding conditions.
Design and Features:
The Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel does not deviate far from the design of the standard Gixxer SF, with full fairing and clip-on handlebars. It is available in two color options: Matte Black and Matte Red. This motorcycle also comes with a digital console, LED headlamp and comes with dual channel ABS to ensure maximum safety of the motorcycle and the rider.
