Titanic Submarine Tragedy – Titan Imploded Leaving All Five Onboard Dead

The search for the missing Titan submersible in the North Atlantic Ocean came to a tragic end as it was found out that the vessel had already met its fate due to a “catastrophic implosion”. Due to this implosion of the submersible, all five passengers onboard could have died instantly.

The debris from the implosion of the Titan was discovered by an unmanned deep-sea robot deployed from a Canadian ship. John Mauger, Rear Admiral of the US Coast Guard even confirmed that the parts of the submersible were found just 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic.

When asked about whether the bodies of the deceased can be recovered, the Rear Admiral could not confirm due to the “incredibly unforgiving environment”. “These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans,” He added.

What is even more saddening is that the U.S. Navy’s secret underwater sensors detected an anomaly around the same time as the communications of the Titan submersible were lost from its mother ship. According to the U.S. Navy, the anomaly was very much similar to an implosion.

Speaking about the Titan, the submersible was owned and operated by OceanGate Expeditions. In terms of size, the Titan measured just 6.7 meters long and 2.8 meters wide. Furthermore, the top speed of the Totan was just 5.5km/h.

Also, unlike most submersibles, the pressure vessel of the Titan was not entirely made of titanium, instead, it was made of a combination of titanium and composite carbon fibre. This is likely to have limited the Titan’s ability to be flexible under high pressure.

Onboard the Titan were 5 people, including Hamish Harding (British Billionaire), Stockton Rush (founder and CEO of the operating company), Paul Henry Nargelot (French diver) and Pakistani Businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman.

That being said, the impulsion is likely to have killed all 5 men onboard the Titan immediately. In fact, experts say that the implosion could have killed all onboard the Titan in just 20 milliseconds. At this speed, the human brain couldn’t even process the information.

The hunt for the missing Titanic Submarine not only attracted worldwide attention, but many countries came together to support the rescue operation. However, the fate of the Titan and its passengers were already sealed as the vessel was imploded at the same time the connection with the mothership was lost.
