TVS And Indian Navy Embark On Incredible Ladakh Journey On Apache Bikes – All You Need To Know

The Indian Navy has partnered with TVS Motor Company to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ marking 76 years of India’s independence. In this joint effort, 34 riders from the Indian Naval Forces will embark on a journey to Ladakh, covering a distance of 5,600 kilometres.

The Naval officers will ride TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycles as part of this special collaboration. According to TVS, this joint venture with the Indian Navy’s personnel’s ride to Ladakh will mainly focus on driving awareness about the country’s naval forces.

Members of the Indian Navy riders’ group, ‘The Sea Riders,’ will embark on a 28-day journey that starts from New Delhi on June 15. During this expedition, they will ride through Ladakh’s challenging terrains and remote areas.

Before reaching Leh, the ride will traverse through cities like Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Kargil, and Nubra Valley. Their final destination is the National War Memorial, where they plan to conclude their ride on July 12.

Speaking about this joint venture with the Indian Navy, Vimal Sumbly, head of business, TVS Motors, said, “This expedition is a testament to our shared values of courage, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.”

On the engine front, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has an RT-Fi air-cooled 197.7cc single-cylinder engine producing 20.82bhp and 17.25Nm of torque in Sport Mode and around 17.32bhp and 16.51Nm of torque In Urban and Rain modes.

The TVS Apache RR 310 houses a 6-speed 312.2cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 33.5bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque. The latest version of the bike has a unique reverse-inclined engine that offers a better power-to-weight ratio.

This collaborative ride is a great opportunity for TVS to shine as the Indian Navy officers ride the Indian bike makers’ motorcycles to Ladakh. This ride will increase the popularity of these bikes among consumers in the country.
