Upcoming Car Launches In July 2023 – Exter, Seltos, Invicto & More

July will be an exciting month as leading car manufacturers are gearing up to launch some hot new wheels to the automobile market. This month will have two important launches and a debut. There’s also a major launch in the luxury segment towards the end of the month.

July will witness Kia’s new upgraded mid-size SUV, Maruti’s premium MPV which will cross the Rs 20 lakh price bracket for the first time in its history, Hyundai’s most affordable entry-level SUV, and a fine-toned Mercedes SUV. Let’s take a quick look at all the upcoming SUVs in July.

The first SUV on the list is the all-new Kia Seltos facelift, scheduled to debut in India on July 4. The much-awaited facelift has a lot of design and feature upgrades, along with a new powertrain.

The front of the new Kia Seltos is redesigned and has a new set of led headlamps with updated DRLs. The rear also gets newly designed tail lamps and a new body design. The SUV gets an all-new interior with twin connected infotainment screens.

The Seltos facelift is also loaded with the latest safety tech, and the most important and noticeable upgrade will be the addition of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite.

The SUV will continue offering the 114bhp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel powertrains and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 160bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.

The Invicto is the identical twin of the Toyota Innova Hycross; however, Maruti has decided to exclusively offer Invicto in the hybrid powertrain, unlike the lower-spec variant of the Innova HyCross, which features a naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The car is likely to have the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with strong-hybrid tech for a combined output of 183bhp and 188Nm of peak torque and will be paired with a CVT transmission that drives the front axle.

According to the spy shots, there are minimal changes in exterior design, and the interior will remain largely unchanged. However, there will be new color options available for the Invicto. Maruti might skip the ADAS suite and other premium features to maintain a competitive price.

The Exter – Hyundai’s most affordable entry-level SUV will launch on July 10. The compact SUV shares its platform with the Grand i10 Nios and Aura. The Exter will be competing against the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

The SUV has an impressive blend of Hyundai’s renowned styling and a distinctive boxy design. The dashboard design has been retained from the models it is based on, but it receives unique add-ons, like a digital instrument cluster and a dashcam.

Under the hood, Exter will be powered by a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 83bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. The engine will be mated with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox.

A 1.2-litre Bi-fuel Kappa petrol + CNG engine with slightly reduced power output will also be available. This engine will only be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The new GLC is bigger and features a more luxurious and technically advanced interior. The styling is evolved from the outgoing model but with smoother lines and new detailing. The interior is near-identical to the new C-class.

Second-gen GLC will be offered in two variants; the GLC 200, equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 204bhp and 320Nm of torque, and the GLC 220d powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 197bhp and 440Nm of torque.

Exciting times lie ahead for car enthusiasts in India as July brings a lineup of highly anticipated car launches. From Hyundai’s entry-level SUV, Exeter, to the all-new Mercedes GLC, there is something for everyone.

And that’s not all. In the coming months, the market will witness the launch of several new models, such as the Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, and facelifts of Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, among others.
