Updated Lexus LX 500d Launched In India; New Off-Road Ready Overtrail Grade Introduced

Lexus has launched the updated LX500d in India. The new version of the luxury carmaker’s flagship SUV comes with minor cosmetic updates and a slight bump in its equipment list. The biggest change for 2025 is the introduction of a new off-road-spec Overtrail grade. Bookings for the LX 500d and LX 500d Overtrail are now open, with these models priced at Rs 3 Crore and Rs 3.1 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.

The Overtrail grade adds several unique off-road-focused updates to the LX 500d. It features a specially designed black radiator grille and matte grey aluminium wheels. In addition, the fog lamp cover, roof rails, door mouldings, wheel arch mouldings, door handles, and outer mirrors are black and dark in tone.

The inside has khaki-coloured upholstery, which is complemented by a “Moon Desert” colour scheme on the outside. In terms of additional off-road equipment, the LX 500d Overtral comes with front and rear differential locks alongside the standard central differential lock and high-profile tyres.

2025 Lexus 500d: Engine Specifications

All variants of the LX 500d come with a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine that produces 304 hp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Full-time 4WD is standard, along with adaptive suspension and active ride height control.

The updated LX 500d’s feature list is pretty extensive. It includes a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated and heated seats, an 8-inch multi-information display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, multiple driving modes, rear seat entertainment, and a lot more.
