Updated Yezdi Scrambler India Launch Today

  • Likely to get more features
  • Subtle design tweaks and new colours are also expected
  • It might shed some weight too

The updated model of the Yezdi Scrambler is expected to be launched in India today, 23 April. The motorcycle has been due for a makeover for a long time, and Classic Legends has presumably improved the bike on many fronts.

The Scrambler might witness some weight reduction from its existing 182kg kerb weight. That’ll certainly make it a friendlier motorcycle to ride, especially off-road. It might lose close to 8-10kg, perhaps through the usage of lighter materials for some components. The motorcycle might get an updated feature list with the inclusion of bits such as switchable traction control and a more information-rich LCD screen.

Classic Legends may have tweaked the engine as well for better refinement. Performance numbers, meanwhile, are expected to see no major change. The existing 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 28.7bhp and 28.2Nm, and it comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. As for the styling, it is already a handsome-looking thing, but the company might lend it a few changes to make it look more imposing. A new set of colour options will further lend it a fresh visual appeal.

Prices of the existing Yezdi Scrambler start from Rs. 1.96 lakh, ex-showroom. The updates might cause the prices to go up marginally.
