Xiaomi’s YU7 Electric SUV Launched In China: Here’s What It Offers

Xiaomi has launched its second electric product and its first SUV in China, called the YU7. It is available in three variants, with prices starting from RMB 199,500 and going up to RMB 289,900. The base Standard variant, which features rear-wheel drive, offers an impressive range of 835 km according to China’s CLTC cycle. Meanwhile, the Pro and Max variants, which come with all-wheel drive, provide a range of 770 km on a single charge.

The YU7 utilises Xiaomi’s HyperEngine V6s Plus motor technology, capable of producing a maximum output of 288 kW. The top-tier Max variant boasts 690 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds, reaching a top speed of 253 km/h. This SUV is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, supporting an 800V architecture. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes.

The feature list of the YU7 is extensive. It includes NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX Thor platform, which powers LIDAR systems, a 4D millimetre-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Additionally, it offers Xiaomi’s HyperVision panoramic display, the XiaoAI assistant, and integration with Apple Watch, among other features.
