Yamaha FZ Blue Flex E85 Launched in India at Rs. 1.24 lakh

The new Yamaha FZ Blue Flex has been launched in India at Rs. 1.24 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The motorcycle is the first flex-fuel model in Yamaha’s Indian portfolio and is designed to run on ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85.

The FZ Blue Flex is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 11.5bhp and 12.8Nm. This engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. This engine is known for its refinement and offers decent fuel economy as well. However, we can expect to see the bike offer lower fuel efficiency when it runs on E85 fuel, in comparison to when it’ll run on E20.

The rest of the FZ Blue Flex is the same as other FZs in the portfolio. It features a similar design, the same frame, telescopic fork and monoshock.

The FZ Blue Flex will be offered in a Metallic Black paint scheme and will be sold through select Yamaha Blue Square dealerships across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.

With the introduction of the FZ Blue Flex, Yamaha joins the growing list of manufacturers offering ethanol-compatible motorcycles in India. Recently, Hero MotoCorp introduced flex fuel versions of the Splendor and HF Deluxe while Suzuki has been selling the Gixxer 250 E85 Flex Fuel for quite some time.
