The engine has also been updated to meet OBD-2B compliance while retaining its single-cylinder, air-cooled 160cc configuration. This engine continues to deliver 16 hp and 13.85 Nm of peak torque. The chassis remains the same double cradle frame, utilising telescopic forks at the front and a gas-filled monotube shock at the rear. The top variant comes equipped with a 270 mm petal disc brake at the front and a 240 mm petal disc brake at the rear.

As for features, the RTR 160 includes TVS’s SmartXonnect dashboard, which offers a variety of features such as turn-by-turn navigation, race telemetry, a lean angle model, call and SMS alerts, and crash alerts. The RTR 160 competes with rivals like the Honda SP 160, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and Yamaha FZ-S.
