The motorcycle gets a sharper design inspired by the KTM 990 Duke and 1390 Super Duke R. It features a new LED headlamp, revised body panels, a larger front fairing, and a redesigned fuel tank.

Powering the bike is the same Euro 5+ compliant 799cc, parallel-twin LC8c engine that produces 105bhp. KTM will also offer a 95bhp version for A2 licence holders in certain markets. The engine is paired with a newly designed exhaust system.

Despite its larger appearance, the new 790 Duke is 2kg lighter than before. It also gets a new subframe, triple clamps, and fuel tank, all of which are claimed to improve handling and front-end feedback.
