Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid Spied: Affordable Hybrid For India

A test mule of a Maruti Suzuki Frox wearing a ‘Hybrid’ badge was recently seen on the streets of Gurugram. This hints that Maruti’s affordable hybrid models might soon make it to Indian roads. Reports suggest the automaker is developing an in-house hybrid system for compact cars. This system will differ from the Toyota-sourced one used on the Grand Vitara hybrid.

The test mule seen in Gurugram wears a ‘Hybrid’ badge on the tailgate. As expected, there is no other visual change from the rest of the Fronx lineup. The vehicle does not have camouflage or testing equipment, which indicates that it is in the final stages of development.
