Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Gets More Screens And New Interior Tech

The upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door model is said to feature a revised interior with enhanced screen sizes, infotainment system updates and a more digitalised instrument panel. The updates are relevant for the Indian market as the model falls in the segment where infotainment and technology are major aspects for car buyers. The updates are said to be more focused on the dashboard and infotainment system rather than any mechanical updates. A wider screen in the middle and a revised instrument panel as well as a screen for the passenger side are said to be part of the updates. These are also said to bring the performance sedan in line with the latest digital technology as offered in newer Mercedes-Benz models.

A new display will also be added for the front passenger which will enable the co-passengers to have access the media, navigation and vehicle information that they want to see. This is something that has already started to appear in some new Mercedes vehicles and is becoming an important differentiator in the segment. The new design seems to be hinting at the fact that Mercedes is going to adopt the trend of using digital displays as opposed to physical displays.

The interface could also feature new displays for AMG performance which usually include telemetry-style displays of performance metrics like power output, lap timers and vehicle dynamics-related information.
