What is the Blacktrack BT-06 Cafe Racer?

  • Makes 136bhp from a 1,382cc Indian Scout V-twin
  • Price on request, just like Bell & Ross exclusive watches

In a world of special bespoke designs, Blacktrack presents the BT-06 as a custom cafe racer created in collaboration with Bell & Ross. This is a design-led, low-volume build aimed at collectors and riders who want a machine with a rarer-than-rare personality. With its price-on-request status, get it if you can afford one. It’ll be more exclusive than an actual Bell & Ross for sure.

Indian Right Rear Three Quarter

The BT-06 is shaped around the idea of bringing motorcycle design and watchmaking together. Blacktrack says the motorcycle and the Bell & Ross BR 03-94 Blacktrack chronograph were designed alongside both taking inspiration from the other. The result is a café racer that has sharp lines, flat surfaces, machined parts and a dark technical look inspired by stealth aircrafts. For the uninitiated, Bell & Ross already does a lot of cockpit inspired timepieces.

Indian Instrument Cluster

The BT-06 takes a more modern route against café racer design convention. Its angular bodywork, ceramic-like surface effect, grooves and precise detailing link it more closely to high-end industrial design than to a traditional garage-built custom. The Bell & Ross watch also gets its own machined aluminium bracket in front of the rider.

The liquid-cooled engine has been borrowed from the Indian Scout. It is a 1,382cc V-twin pushing out 136bhp at 7,480rpm. Should deliver a muscular mid-range rather than revvy output. The BT-06 has dry weight of 175kg with carbon-fibre bodywork and 181kg with composite bodywork. Lightness would mean it’ll feel more immediate in direction changes as a café racer.
