Honda MSX125 Grom Updated for 2026

  • Introduced in three new colours abroad
  • Mechanical details remain unchanged

Honda has updated the 2026 MSX125 Grom mini bike with three new colour options in the international market, while remaining mechanically unchanged. The new shades include Pearl Shining Black, Splendid Blue, and a new HRC-inspired Gayety Red livery. The update follows the bigger changes introduced for 2025, when the Grom received redesigned bodywork. Honda says the removable body panels make it easier for owners to customise the bike with stickers, graphics, and wraps.

Powering the Grom is the same 125cc, air-cooled, two-valve engine that produces 9.6bhp at 7,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox, and Honda claims a top speed of 94kmph. The bike continues with a 31mm USD fork and rear monoshock suspension setup. Other details include a 6-litre fuel tank, 1,200mm wheelbase, and a kerb weight of 103kg. Features include a full-LCD instrument cluster with a gear position indicator and rev counter, along with LED lighting at both ends.

The Grom has been on sale globally since 2012, with Honda selling over 8.6 lakh units worldwide. Thailand remains its biggest market with nearly 6.18 lakh units sold, while the US and Europe have also contributed strongly to sales. However, unless Honda decides to experiment, we might never witness its arrival in India as there is no demand for this format of motorcycles here.
