  • Features a more premium black colour scheme
  • Makes slightly more power than the India-spec version
  • Gets block pattern tyres

Yamaha has launched the XSR155 in Japan at JPY 4,90,000 (approximately Rs. 2.97 lakh). The motorcycle is available in three colours, including a new black paint scheme and a different alloy wheel design. The Japanese-spec bike is also slightly more powerful than the India-spec version.

The black colour scheme features premium-looking golden and red graphics on the tank. There are golden pinstripes on both sides of the tank, and a Yamaha badging with a red background. This paint job has a more upmarket look than the Metallic Black available on the XSR155 in India.

The Japanese-spec bike also features a different-looking alloy wheel design with a bronze finish, and is wrapped in block-pattern tyres. It gives the bike a more rugged look overall and fits well with the roadster theme.

Performance-wise, the Japanese XSR155 makes more power but less torque. Its motor produces 18.7bhp and 14Nm, whereas the India-spec bike’s motor produces 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm. Aside from these differences, the Indian and Japanese-spec XSR155s share the same cycle parts.
