Norton Manx R to be the Company’s First Launch In India

The Norton Manx R is the company’s latest superbike, and it will also be their first motorcycle to be launched in India. The TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles is looking to begin its Indian run with its flagship motorcycle that will help establish them as a premium brand in India.

The Norton Manx R will be sold at Norton dealerships in the country, starting with the major metro cities such as Delhi and Mumbai.

Norton will announce its plans for the number of dealerships it intends to open and the service network closer to the launch date. This is likely to take place in a few months. Norton is also readying the Atlas ADV bike for launch in India, and that bike will sit in the middle-weight segment.

Coming to the Manx R, we recently rode the bike in Spain and were impressed with its performance, handling, and on-road usability. The bike is powered by a 1,200cc, V4 engine that makes 206bhp and 130Nm.

Its bodywork is devoid of winglets, which is the norm in today’s litre-class superbikes, giving it a clean look. We are expecting the Manx R to be priced competitively to take on the BMW S 1000 RR and the Ducati Panigale V4.
