Tata Motors launches next-gen Tiago at Rs 4.69 lakh, Tiago.ev starts at Rs 6.99 lakh

on Thursday launched the next-generation and , sharpening its push in the mass-market hatchback segment with refreshed styling, more technology features and multiple powertrain options spanning petrol, CNG and electric.

The next-gen Tiago petrol range starts at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 4.69 lakh, while the Tiago iCNG starts at Rs 5.79 lakh.

The company also launched the next-gen Tiago.ev with introductory ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh for the 19 kWh Smart variant.

The 24 kWh battery pack variants are priced from Rs 9.49 lakh, going up to Rs 9.99 lakh for the top-end Creative+ trim.

For the petrol manual lineup, prices range from Rs 4.69 lakh for the Smart variant to Rs 7.29 lakh for the Creative+ trim. The iCNG range extends from Rs 5.79 lakh to Rs 7.99 lakh.

Features include a 10.25-inch ultra-HD infotainment touchscreen with map navigation, rear AC vents, fabric touch front armrest with storage, toggle window controls and a grand tech-enabled centre console. The next-gen Tiago also gets a 360-degree surround-view camera with multiple 2D/3D views, blind view monitor and a more confident high-seat driving position.

At the launch event, and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said the company wants to bring premium experiences to affordable hatchbacks.

“Today hatchback customers want far more than mobility, they want design, tech, safety and pride of ownership — a car they want to flaunt,” Chandra said.

Calling the new Tiago “more than a facelift”, he said the company was “representing what the next-gen hatchback can look like”.

said the Tiago remains the only hatchback in the segment to offer petrol, CNG and EV powertrains under a single model lineup.

The company also reiterated its focus on democratising electric mobility through the Tiago.ev, positioning it as an accessible entry point into EV ownership.
