Indian Motorcycle has announced a new performance parts division initialled as American Racing Operations, or simply ARO. It is the official performance division of Indian Motorcycle and will deliver a factory-backed system of parts and accessories for riders who want more from their motorcycles.

The company has a racing record that includes seven AFT titles, three King of the Baggers wins and two SuperHooligan championships. This does tell us the logic behind the division as the company wants to monetise its performance earned on the track.

Although Indian already has a broad parts and accessories ecosystem with a dedicated performance accessories section for riders seeking more horsepower, torque, sound or style, but ARO will be able to sharpen that existing direction by utilising a factory-backed identity and a stronger link to the company’s racing image.

Indian Motorcycle is still a niche premium brand for us, and there has been no official India-specific ARO launch communication. But since the customer base is tiny, dealers should be able to procure these parts for interested riders.
