Suzuki Gixxer SF Prices Increased in India

• Prices increased by Rs. 3,800
• Only bike in Suzuki’s line-up that has received the hike

The Suzuki Gixxer SF has recently gotten pricier by around Rs. 3,800 in India. The motorcycle now costs Rs. 1,38,929 for the standard model and Rs. 1,39,390 for the special edition model. Strangely, the Gixxer SF seems to be the only motorcycle in Suzuki’s line-up that has become more expensive while prices for others remain unchanged. The reason for the hike is likely to be the bump in raw material and manufacturing costs, which is the case with almost every other brand that has increased the prices of its products this month.

While the Gixxer SF is a very practical and capable fully-faired motorcycle, it is quite long in the tooth. The motorcycle has remained unchanged for years with the same engine, hardware, and features set. However, we expect Suzuki to launch its next-generation Gixxer and Gixxer 250 models in the coming months. These motorcycles might come with a different design along with an updated engine, hardware, and technology.

Powering the Suzuki Gixxer SF is a 155 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor that produces 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It rides on telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, which is five-step preload adjustable. In terms of brakes, the bike gets disc brakes at both ends along with single-channel ABS as standard. Other features include a full LED headlamp and tail unit, digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity.
