Made-in-India Honda XR300 Rally Unveiled

  • Same engine as the XR 300L
  • Tourer aesthetics and traction control

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled the XR300 Rally in India. Much like the XR 300L, it utilises the same 293.5cc engine that churns out 26.9bhp/26.6Nm. Consequently, it’s the same engine borrowed from the CB300F. The XR300 Rally is a bike that strikes balance between off-roading and mile-munching.

This Adventure-style bike will go up against the TVS Apache RTX, RE Himalayan 450/Upcoming 411, and the KTM 390 Adventure R. No details are currently known about its price, but we anticipate a Rs. 2.5-2.7 lakh markup. Given the emphasis on localisation, it should ideally not get an eye-watering tag. This bike will be focused on touring comfort and aesthetics with dedicated styling and a pronounced windshield.

Although the exact power figures haven’t been disclosed, we have made an educated guess. The XR300 Rally will get features like Honda RoadSync (connected app for navigation, calls, messages, and music), traction control, gas-charged Pro-link rear suspension, and front and rear disc brakes with switchable dual-channel ABS.
