Upcoming Simple Wave Electric Scooter Details Revealed

The upcoming Simple Wave electric scooter’s details have been revealed, giving us a better idea of what we can expect. The scooter was earlier dubbed ‘Arrive’ and we have now learned that this name was just an internal name, and the production-spec scooter will be called Wave.

The upcoming Simple Wave will be a family-oriented scooter and will be positioned below the Simple One range. It will be more affordable and aimed at customers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The brand has been working to expand its dealership network as part of this push. Currently, Simple has 75 dealerships and aims to have 150-200 dealerships by the end of this fiscal year.

The Wave will feature a boxier design, with more practical bits. It will get a larger seat for better rider and pillion comfort, and a more spacious floorboard for better practicality. It will likely be based on the same platform as the One, but with a few changes.

For starters, it will feature a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorber setup instead of a monoshock like the Simple One. The braking duties will be taken care of by a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear.

With the Wave, Simple will be able to target customers looking for a commuter scooter that can also serve their family needs. Once launched, the Wave will go up against other affordable family-oriented electric scooters in the market, like the Bajaj Chetak C25 and the TVS Orbiter.
