Aprilia has updated the SR GT 200 sporty maxi-scooter for 2026 in Malaysia. Giving it a subtle visual makeover in the form of new colours, Aprilia has kept the scooter unchanged in the rest of the aspects, and we think no one is complaining because it is already a mechanically potent offering.

The three new colour options on offer are called Space White, Savana Grey and Street Gold. The latter is the most flashy of them with a vibrant gold front apron and rear panels, bold graphics, and red wheels and rear suspension. Even the white trim looks equally conspicuous, while the grey shade looks the most understated. The SR GT 200 is a big and purposeful-looking scooter with rugged bodywork, large wheels, a tall windscreen, and seemingly comfortable seating ergonomics on offer. In terms of features, the SR GT 200 comes with full LED lighting and a monochrome LCD display for rider information. The seat height is set at 765mm.

The Aprilia SR GT 200 is powered by a 174cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with four valves and SOHC. It is compliant with Euro 5+ emission norms and produces 17.4bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.5Nm at 7,000rpm, paired with a CVT transmission and belt drive. Braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends. The 14-inch front wheel gets a 260mm disc, while the 13-inch rear wheel uses a 220mm disc. Suspension is sourced from Showa, comprising telescopic front forks with 120mm travel and twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustability. The scooter weighs 144kg and has a 9-litre fuel tank.
