Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with 350cc Engine Launched

  • The new engine produces 40bhp and 33.2Nm
  • Prices remain unchanged on the website

Bajaj has launched the updated NS400Z with the new 349cc engine. The brand has quietly updated the website with the new engine specifications, and the motorcycle’s price remains unchanged. The website still lists the price as Rs. 1,93,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bike is now powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 40bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm at 7,500rpm. This is a drop of 2.4bhp and 1.8Nm compared to the 373cc mill the bike used to get. With this change, the bike now makes as much power as it did back when it was first launched.

This engine is likely the same unit as the one on the recently launched Dominar 400. For reference, on the Dominar 400, the engine’s stroke length was reduced from 60mm to 56.1mm, while keeping the bore size unchanged at 89mm. The new engine should offer a more peaky power delivery compared to before.

Aside from the new engine, the bike remains unchanged in all other aspects. It features the same perimeter frame and is suspended on an inverted fork and monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a braking setup consisting of a 320mm front and 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
