BMW F 450 GS: First Ride Review

Introduction

The BMW F 450 GS replaces the BMW G 310 GS, but this is not a simple upgrade. It’s a shift in approach. While the 310 was approachable, torquey, and road-friendly, with the 450 GS, BMW is clearly chasing performance, better off-road ability, and, with that parallel-twin engine, a more premium positioning — one that could pull in buyers who would not have otherwise considered the 310.

It comes in three trims — Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy. The former two are offered only in Black, while the Trophy is available exclusively in BMW’s blue-and-white livery. Prices stand at Rs. 4.7 lakh, Rs. 4.9 lakh, and Rs. 5.3 lakh respectively, which puts the 450 GS firmly on the expensive side of this segment in India.
