BMW S1000RR gets New Colour for 2027

  • S 1000 RR updated internationally
  • Available in new Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport colour
  • Technical details remain unchanged

The BMW S1000RR has been updated for 2027 in the international markets. The motorcycle has received a new Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport colour. This paint scheme is available only for the M Sport variant and makes it look almost identical to the racier M 1000 RR, the homologation special offering. And if you opt for the M package, BMW gives lighter forged wheels as standard.

The technical specifications of the S1000RR remain unchanged for 2027. Powering the track tool is a 999cc, inline-four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that benefits from the BMW ShiftCam technology and comes linked to a six-speed gearbox. This motor produces 206.5bhp at 13,750rpm and a peak torque of 113Nm at 11,000rpm.

To help the rider tame the beast that the S1000 is, there is plenty of electronics. The bike gets a traction control system with slide control function, ABS with brake slide assist, four ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race), hill start control, bidirectional quick shifter, launch control, and pit lane limiter. Furthermore, the company offers Race Pro 1 to 3 modes as an option on the Standard and Pro, while the Pro M Sport gets them from the factory. These modes also enable Brake Slide Assist and DTC Slide Control functions.

The lightweight cast aluminium frame is suspended by electronically adjustable Marzocchi forks while braking is handled by Nissin calipers. The Pro M Sport also gets carbon fibre wheels and heel plates along with a lighter battery, all of which have aided in a weight reduction of 3.5kg over the standard trim.
