Summary

The range of pick-ups was re-launched in 2022 by the Japanese carmaker with a new heart. This includes a BS6 2 compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine that is shared by the entire range. Along with the standard versions, has also introduced an entry-level model, the Hi-Lander only available with a manual gearbox.

Exterior

The economical Hi-Lander trim gets basic halogen head lights, and dark grey ORVMs. Meanwhile, the higher-specs – Z and Z Prestige are offered with bi-LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, roof rails, side step, alloy wheels, mirror mounted indicators and front fog lamps.

Interior

Like the exterior, the Hi-Lander gets a plain and basic interior that misses out on steering mounted controls, an infotainment system, and leather upholstery. The premium trims of the V-Cross range are equipped with front wrap-around bucket seats, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three USB ports, cruise control, and two power outlets.
Engine and Transmission

Under the long bonnet, the power is derived from a BS6 phase 2 compliant 1.9-litre diesel engine that is tuned to develop 161bhp and 360Nm of peak torque. It can be had with a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed automatic transmission with a four-wheel-drive setup. The colour options available include – Valencia orange, red Spinal, Galena Grey, Sapphire Blue, Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Nautilus Blue, White Solid, and Silky White Pearl. The last shade is unavailable on the Hi-Lander variant.
