  • Adventure has 229mm ground clearance
  • Naked has 17-inch alloy wheels with 820mm seat height
  • Liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine

Benelli has expanded its BKX range for 2026 with new BKX 300 and BKX 300 S. Do not get your hopes up, Benelli has not confirmed an India launch timeline either. Internationally however, both models are scheduled to reach dealerships in the first half of May 2026. If they do make it to India, the BKX 300 range could be interesting siting in between small-capacity adventure motorcycles and more serious entry-level touring machines.

The 292.4cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 28.6bhp of maximum power and 24Nm of peak torque on both these machines. This places the BKX twins in the same zone as India’s growing 250cc to 300cc motorcycle space. Riders will be able to use such motorcycles for daily travel, weekend runs and bad-road touring. With the engine tune towards returning better fuel consumption, that 12-litre fuel tank should give the motorcycles useful real-world range.

Benelli Riding

BKX 300 is the adventure model with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked-wheel setup. Riders will be able to take broken gravel paths and mild trails on it with ease. It also gets 180mm of wheel travel and 229mm of ground clearance to support off the beaten path use. But its 860mm seat height will limit its usability for most riders. The 156kg kerb weight is reasonable though for ease on trails.

BKX 300 S uses 17-inch alloy wheels making it quicker to steer on tarmac. This naked is more for urban use with tis upright stance. It gets 150mm of wheel travel, 820mm seat height and is light at 153kg kerb. The lower seat, lighter weight and road-biased wheels should make it easier to use in urban setting.

Both motorcycles get a 41mm front fork with preload, compression and rebound adjustability. The footrests on both motorcycles can be adjusted in two positions, allowing riders to change their riding triangle as required. Equipment list includes an LCD instrument cluster and a USB socket for convenience, bare but useful.

For our market, the adventure BKX sits near the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX and Royal Enfield Scram 440. The naked S would rather appeal to riders looking at a simple road-focused 250cc to 300cc motorcycle with a taller stance and lighter touring capabilities. Benelli’s challenge will be pricing for Indian market, but with some GST benefits visible, these two models might actually make it here.
