  • Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP will race a special Pininfarina livery at Mugello
  • Red diagonal line inspired by the Pininfarina Modulo concept

This gorgeous Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP race bike carries a special Pininfarina-designed livery for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. The motorcycle will wear this one-off design during the race weekend as a celebration of Italian design and motorsport culture. And no, this is a MotoGP race bike special livery and not a production motorcycle or a customer kit. Since the bike carries this livery shaped to enhance the silhouette of the Yamaha MotoGP bike, it already has its coolness factor dialled up to eleven.

The special design created by Pininfarina is actually the first time this Italian design house has worked on a MotoGP project. Instead of carrying the usual sponsor-led patterns, this one brings in Italian identity to Mugello through a cleaner, more studied visual language rather than simply using louder colours.

Main design element is a diagonal red line across the Yamaha race bike. This line is supported by two thin purple lines linking the design back to Prima’s visual identity. It is also a modern reference to the Pininfarina Modulo, the 1970 concept car that remains one of the design house’s most recognisable works.

That is important because modern race motorcycles already have complex surfaces, winglets, vents and sponsor spaces. Pininfarina’s approach appears to be more restrained, using fewer lines to underline the speed and stance of the motorcycle instead of hiding its form. Underneath the motorcycle remains the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP machine prepared for the Italian Grand Prix.
