Cyclone RX2 Is One of the Coolest 125cc ADV

  • 125cc liquid-cooled engine makes 15bhp
  • Traction control, dual-channel ABS and tubeless tyres
  • Three luggage cases and crash protection come as standard fit

Available mostly in the Chinese and Euro markets, Cyclone RX2 brings genuine adventure-bike equipment to the accessible 125cc class. Cyclone has given the RX2 suitable wheels, protective hardware, safety electronics and standard luggage. It is a sensible reminder that an adventure motorcycle does not have to be large or particularly powerful to be enjoyable.

The 125cc single-cylinder four-valve engine actually comes with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It develops 15bhp and 11Nm paired with a six-speed gearbox. Umm not expecting quick overtakes, it is more built for a purpose. This modest output should make the throttle easier to manage on loose surfaces. For newer riders, the RX2 offers an opportunity to learn standing control, braking and low-speed trail riding.

Zontes Riding

RX2 has an 820mm seat height and it weighs 150kg. The complete luggage arrangement adds another 15kg, although the cases can be removed when they are not required. Chassis consists of a steel tube frame supported by a 38mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with compression adjustment. It runs on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, both using alloy rims with tubeless dual-purpose tyres. Less off-road focused than the 21-inch and 18-inch combination, but it should make the RX2 easier to steer on roads and less demanding at lower speeds. Dual-channel ABS is fitted as standard, along with traction control.

Zontes Instrument Cluster

Cyclone has also equipped the motorcycle with a five-inch colour TFT display featuring smartphone mirroring. This has navigation and selected phone information to be shown on the instrument panel. Full-LED lighting, a tall windscreen, hand guards, engine protection, fork guards and a low front mudguard all complete the adventure package.

RX2 also comes with two side cases and a top box, rather than requiring the buyer to purchase them separately. Its 14-litre fuel tank should also provide useful travelling range when combined with the relatively small engine. Do we want one? Yes. Will it come to India? No.
