E3 Trion has received its CMVR Type Approval Certificate from the Global Automotive Research Centre GARC. This confirms that the electric scooter meets the relevant Indian vehicle and safety regulations clearing one of the final hurdles before its commercial introduction.

E3 describes the Trion as an intelligent electric scooter presenting itself as an AI-powered family model. The Bengaluru-based company has built its electric scooter platform around three main ideas, modular construction, continuous vehicle intelligence and ergonomics developed around Indian riders. Its platform is intended to support both family and utility applications through a common high-strength chassis.

The company says its AI layer can read information from the battery, motor and road in real time. This is meant to help the scooter identify faults, track vehicle health and provide the rider with useful warnings before a problem affects a journey. The system has been developed as part of the scooter’s core vehicle architecture.
