  • Only 100 units will be produced
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon-fibre fork sleeves

Ducati has unveiled the super rare 100-unit special Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore. Showcased at Borgo Panigale as part of the company’s 100th anniversary celebrations it is the purest expression of Ducati’s engineering method and design culture. This centenary flagship uses extreme hardware and a historic visual theme to reinforce what the company does best.

Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore is the first road-legal motorcycle in the world to come equipped with a braking system with carbon-ceramic discs and a fork with carbon-fibre sleeves. This comes straight out of MotoGP. The focus has been to reduce weight, offer godly braking performance and an extremely precise front-end. The power out figure of 226bhp puts it in the top tier of track-oriented road-legal production motorcycles. Not sure what roads they have in mind, but this will be a handful.

Its Tricolore livery is inspired by the legendary 750 F1. This machine won the Battle of the Twins at Daytona in 1986 with Marco Lucchinelli which is also the last classic two-valve racing motorcycle. It genuinely is one of the rarest and most recognisable Ducatis of the 1980s. The limited production run of just 100 units further adds to the collector exclusivity of the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore.
