Former Telangana CM KCR urges people not to visit him in hospital citing risk of infection, inconvenience to other patients

HYDERABAD: K Chandrasekhar Rao(KCR), the former Chief Minister of Telangana, currently recuperating from hip replacement surgery at a private hospital, urged the public not to visit him in order to avoid potential infection risks.

In a video message, Rao explained that doctors treating him have cautioned against external contact for the next 10 days to protect both his health and the safety of other patients in the hospital.
“I request all of you to go back to your places safely. I request people not to come to see me for the next 10 days. Hundreds of patients are undergoing treatment in this hospital. Their safety is also important for us,” KCR stated in the video, assuring that he would meet with people once he has sufficiently recovered.
Several political figures and prominent personalities, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, superstar Chiranjeevi, and actor Prakash Raj, have already visited Rao during his hospital stay.
KCR underwent a successful left Total Hip Replacement surgery on December 8, following a fracture from a fall at his residence. The hospital estimates a recovery period of six to eight weeks.
