2026 Honda City ZR V launch

Honda City facelift, Honda ZR-V: Price, features, engine and more

has officially revealed the all-new for the Indian market while also launching the updated Honda City sedan at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The latest launch marks Honda’s renewed push in both the premium sedan and SUV segments as the company looks to strengthen its presence in India with refreshed styling, added features and hybrid technology.

The updated Honda City will continue to rival models such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna, while the newly revealed ZR-V is expected to compete with premium SUVs including the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Nissan X-Trail.

Updated Honda City gets refreshed styling and added features

The refreshed Honda City receives several cosmetic updates along with feature additions aimed at keeping the sedan competitive in the mid-size segment.

At the front, the sedan now gets a revised grille, sharper LED headlamps and updated bumper styling. Honda has also introduced newly designed alloy wheels, while the rear features updated tail lamps and subtle design tweaks.

Inside the cabin, the updated City now offers more premium features including ventilated front seats, upgraded upholstery, a larger infotainment system with improved connectivity and a 360-degree camera.

Honda City engine and hybrid options continue

Mechanically, the Honda City remains largely unchanged.

The sedan continues with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda is also continuing with the City e:HEV strong hybrid variant, which combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor setup. The hybrid system delivers improved fuel efficiency along with smoother urban driving performance.

Honda ZR-V revealed as premium hybrid SUV

Alongside the City facelift, Honda has officially revealed the Honda ZR-V for the Indian market.

Globally positioned between the HR-V and CR-V, the ZR-V features a sporty crossover-inspired design with sleek LED headlamps, a large front grille, wraparound tail lamps and a sloping roofline.

The SUV is expected to arrive in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which means pricing could place it firmly in the premium SUV category.

Internationally, the Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre e:HEV strong hybrid petrol engine producing around 181 bhp. The SUV focuses more on comfort-oriented urban driving rather than hardcore off-roading.

Honda ZR-V expected features and cabin highlights

The Honda ZR-V is expected to come loaded with premium features including:

  • Large touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Fully digital instrument cluster
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Ventilated seats
  • Powered tailgate
  • Connected car technology

Honda is likely targeting buyers looking for a premium hybrid SUV experience with strong emphasis on comfort, technology and refinement.

Honda City and ZR-V prices in India

The updated Honda City has been launched at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it directly against rivals in the mid-size sedan segment.

Meanwhile, the Honda ZR-V is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and import structure once bookings officially open in India.
