Honda Issues Recall for CB1000 Hornet SP in India

  • Recall affects units manufactured between 30 September, 2024, and August 22, 2025
  • Affected bikes need to be checked for two technical issues
  • Honda will carry out the required repairs free of cost

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced a voluntary recall for the CB1000 Hornet SP. The recall affects units manufactured between 30 September, 2024, and August 22, 2025, to address two possible technical issues.

The first issue concerns the fuel feed hose routing, which may need a thorough inspection to make sure it is properly secured. The second relates to engine oil consumption, which could vary in some motorcycles, and probably increases in bikes with internal components that are not built or fitted as per company standards. Such cases will require corrective action.

Honda will inspect affected motorcycles and carry out the required repairs free of cost at authorised BigWing Topline dealerships across India. The company has confirmed that this recall will be carried out regardless of the motorcycle’s warranty status. Owners of affected bikes will be contacted by BigWing Topline dealerships through phone calls, SMS, or email. They can also check if their motorcycle is a part of the recall campaign by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s official website.
