Hyundai i20 Automatic Becomes More Affordable; Higher Trim Gets More Features

To make owning the i20 with an automatic gearbox more affordable, Hyundai has introduced the premium hatchback with a CVT gearbox in the Magna trim. The second-to-base trim can now be had with a CVT gearbox, and it is priced at Rs 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, to get the i20 with a CVT transmission, you had to spend a minimum of Rs 9.47 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Sports CVT. The Magna CVT comes with an electric sunroof over the Magna manual.

In addition to introducing the Magna CVT, Hyundai has also launched the Magna Executive, priced at Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom). This comes with the same features as the Magna trim, but is priced Rs 27,000 less. Another big update for the i20 in 2025 is the addition of new features in the Sportz (O) trim. Newly added features include a voice-enabled sunroof, keyless entry, and a 7-speaker sound system. Updated ex-showroom prices of the Sportz (O) and Sportz (O) CVT are Rs 9.05 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, respectively.
