KTM 390 Adventure with 350cc Engine Launched at Rs. 2.81 lakh

• Only Rs. 35,000 costlier than the 250 Adventure
• 350cc engine makes less power and torque
• 399cc Adventure series will continue to be on sale

The KTM 390 Adventure with the new 350cc engine has been launched at Rs 2.80 lakh, ex-showroom. The 350cc engine-equipped 390 Adventure will be sold alongside the KTM 390 Adventure with the 399cc engine. Prices for the latter begin at Rs 3.43 lakh. That makes the price gap pretty significant.

KTM has introduced the new 350cc engine to take advantage of the lower taxes that bikes under 350cc. A look at the specifications of the 350cc, single-cylinder engine shows that it makes 40.43bhp and 33.5Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the 399cc engine makes 44.2bhp and 39Nm. The drop in performance will be felt, but we can expect to see a small increase in fuel efficiency.

The rest of the bike remains the same. Whether it is the suspension, wheelbase, ground clearance, it is identical to the more powerful 390 Adventure. This is the case with the features list that includes the TFT display and LED lights.

With the lower price point, the KTM 390 Adventure with the 350cc engine becomes more accessible. In fact, it is only Rs 35,000 costlier than the KTM 250 Adventure. That makes it a better value.
