Mahindra has hit a major milestone in India’s electric vehicle journey, delivering 10,000 units of its XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs in just 70 days since the first handover on March 20. The quick pace of deliveries signals strong demand for EVs in the country and shows Mahindra’s growing momentum in the electric space.

Between the two models, the XEV 9e has seen more traction, accounting for 59% of the total bookings so far, while the BE 6 makes up the remaining 41%. In April alone, Mahindra delivered 3,000 units. What’s even more telling is the high demand for the top-end “Pack Three” variant, which comes loaded with premium features. It’s a clear sign that buyers are no longer just looking at price—they want performance, range, and tech.

Both the XEV 9e and BE 6 offer two battery pack options. The larger 79 kWh battery delivers a claimed range of 659 km in the XEV 9e and 682 km in the BE 6. The smaller 59 kWh option still manages solid numbers, with 542 km and 557 km of range, respectively. Those figures put both models at the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to EV driving range in India.
