Mahindra & Mahindra on August 15 launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ, adding a three-screen coast-to-coast cockpit, Google Gemini-powered conversational technology, six TEQ Suites and new performance and personalisation features to its . Prices start at Rs 11.45 lakh under Battery as a Service (BaaS), with the battery charged at Rs 3.75 per km. Deliveries will begin on August 26, 2026.
The SPORTEQ series will be offered in eight variants — ONE, TWO, THREE, THREE+, FOUR, FE, FE FOUR and Launch Edition. Mahindra has also introduced the top-end Launch Edition and the performance-focused .
Three-screen cockpit among key SPORTEQ features
The three-screen coast-to-coast digital cockpit is one of the main additions to the BE 6 SPORTEQ. It is available from the TWO variant onwards and is designed to bring vehicle information, entertainment and other digital functions across the dashboard.
Customers who prefer the original BE 6 race-inspired cockpit can choose the Formula E Freedom Edition. It comes with two screens and the signature halo design.
The SPORTEQ is available in 12 exterior colours, including four new options — Rosso Impulso, Ruby Velvet, Graphite Storm and Firestorm Orange Satin.

Google Gemini powers TEQ_Talk
The BE 6 SPORTEQ gets six technology suites powered by MAIA, or Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture. The six suites are TEQ_Talk, TEQ_Play, TEQ_Drive, TEQ_Me, TEQ_Secure and TEQ_xting.
TEQ_Talk, built with Google Gemini, works as a conversational companion inside the vehicle. According to Mahindra, it uses 17 specialised AI agents and supports more than 100 core functions and 48 apps.
Drivers can use the system for vehicle controls, navigation, music and news, among other functions.
Karaoke, gaming and Dolby support
TEQ_Play focuses on in-car entertainment. Its features include karaoke, an in-car gaming suite with BYOD mode, Private Audio, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, GrooveMe Party and Milestone.
Mahindra said it is the first automotive OEM in India to offer karaoke and the in-car gaming suite with BYOD mode in this form.
Drift Mode and Acceleration Boost
The TEQ_Drive suite focuses on driving and performance functions. It includes Custom Drive Mode, Drift Mode, Tribe Drive, Revive and Revive SOS.
The Formula E Freedom Edition additionally gets an Acceleration Boost function. Mahindra said the feature enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.44 seconds.
Digital Car Key across multiple devices
The TEQ_Secure suite adds Secure360 Pro, which provides live view with audio relay and intrusion alerts.
The BE 6 SPORTEQ also supports NFC and Digital Car Key functionality across iPhone, Apple Watch, Android and Samsung smartphones, along with NFC Key Cards.
Mahindra said it is the first Indian automotive OEM to provide Car Connectivity Consortium-compliant Digital Car Key functionality across multiple device ecosystems.
TEQ_Secure also includes a parental lock for the third screen.
More personalisation features
The TEQ_Me suite includes a user profile with auto-detection, allowing the vehicle to identify the user’s profile.
TEQ_xting adds another personalisation function by allowing customers to create personalised tailgate messages.
New SPORTEQ features coming to existing Mahindra EVs
As part of its Software Defined Vehicle strategy, Mahindra plans to make the new technology and software features introduced on the SPORTEQ available to existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners.
The features will be delivered through over-the-air software updates in phases beginning January 2027.
Mahindra said the exact features available through these updates will depend on the vehicle model and variant.

BE 6 SPORTEQ Launch Edition
Mahindra has introduced a Launch Edition at the top of the SPORTEQ range. It gets an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior and full Racing Tan leatherette interior.
The model also features the new coast-to-coast three-screen cockpit.
Formula E Freedom Edition
The BE 6 SPORTEQ Formula E Freedom Edition takes inspiration from Mahindra Racing’s Formula E programme and focuses more on the performance side of the range.
It retains the original BE 6 headlamp design and gets exterior changes with tricolour accents. Mahindra will offer it in satin colour finishes, including the new Rosso Impulso.
Inside, the model has a Black and Firestorm Orange theme, two-screen digital cockpit and the signature halo design.
Apart from its Acceleration Boost function, the edition draws its identity from Mahindra’s Formula E campaign. Mahindra Racing has recorded victories in Monaco and Tokyo and four pole positions for Edoardo Mortara.
Mahindra said the Freedom livery and SPORTEQ Freedom Edition will be showcased together at the London E-Prix.
BE 6 SPORTEQ price starts at Rs 11.45 lakh with BaaS
Mahindra has introduced Battery as a Service with the BE 6 SPORTEQ. Under this model, the entry-level ONE with the 59 kWh battery starts at Rs 11.45 lakh, while the battery is charged separately at Rs 3.75 per km, considering usage of 60 km per day.
The same ONE variant costs Rs 19.45 lakh when purchased with the 59 kWh battery.
The TWO costs Rs 12.95 lakh under BaaS and Rs 20.95 lakh with the 59 kWh battery.
The THREE is priced at Rs 21.95 lakh with the 59 kWh battery and Rs 22.95 lakh with the 70 kWh battery. The THREE+ costs Rs 23.95 lakh with the 70 kWh battery and Rs 24.95 lakh with the 79 kWh battery.
The FOUR and Launch Edition cost Rs 26.95 lakh each with the 79 kWh battery. The FE is priced at Rs 24.45 lakh, while the FE FOUR costs Rs 26.95 lakh. Both Formula E variants use the 79 kWh battery.
The prices are ex-showroom and do not include the wall charger or its installation cost.
