Introduction to the Vinfast VF5

The Vinfast VF5 is an all-electric hatchback from the Vietnamese EV maker, positioned between the entry-level VF3 and the larger VF6 eSUV in the global lineup. Slated for an Indian debut in 2026, the VF5 aims to compete within the growing electric vehicle segment.

Performance and Battery Options

Globally, the Vinfast VF5 is offered with two battery pack options. Buyers can choose a 29.6kWh battery pack mated with a 95hp electric motor, or a larger 37.23kWh battery pack paired with a 136hp motor. The smaller battery delivers a claimed range of 268km, whereas the larger battery configuration achieves up to 326km under NEDC ratings.

Design and Key Highlights

The hatchback features a distinctive design with SUV-inspired styling elements such as rugged body cladding and flared wheel arches. Inside, the global-spec model boasts an all-black dashboard with silver accents, leatherette upholstery, an 8-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver's display, a 4-speaker sound system, and an air purifier.
