New Honda Two-wheeler Launching Tomorrow

Honda is scheduled to launch a new two-wheeler in India tomorrow, 24 July 2026. The most likely candidate is the Honda ADV 160 maxi-scooter, as its design was recently patented in India. Looking at how busy and competitive the 150-160cc premium scooter space has become over the last few years, it would be sensible for Honda to bring the ADV to India and grab some share of that pie.

The ADV 160 is powered by a 157cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 16bhp and 14.7Nm. It rolls on a 14-inch front and 13-inch rear alloy wheel setup, while the suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends with single-channel ABS. Moreover, there’s a 27-litre under-seat storage space and an adjustable windscreen.

If launched in India, the ADV 160 will compete against the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia SR 175. Pricing will play an important role in its success, but it is unlikely to undercut the likes of Aerox and Xoom 160.

That said, this is all just speculation, and Honda might surprise us with completely different products, including new entrants for its big bike portfolio.
