The Kinetic DX revives a familiar Indian scooter name in an electric format. Its strengths are everyday practicality, storage and a feature-rich equipment list; it is not positioned as a performance-first electric scooter.

Powertrain and claimed range

The DX uses a hub-mounted BLDC motor rated at around 4.7kW and a 2.6kWh LFP battery. The reviewed DX and DX+ versions carried IDC range claims of 102km and 105km respectively. These are certification figures, not a promise of the same distance in traffic, with a passenger, at high speeds or with frequent acceleration.

Features and practicality

The package includes three riding modes, a digital display, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, hill-hold assist and reverse mode. The DX+ was reported with an on-board charger, while the standard version uses an off-board charger. A 37-litre under-seat compartment is a notable everyday advantage, though helmet fit depends on helmet shape.

Ride impressions and compromises

The first-ride report described smooth, linear throttle response and nimble low-speed handling. The Range mode limits speed and performance, while Turbo mode offers stronger response. Rear suspension firmness over sharp road edges and some switchgear/fit-and-finish concerns deserve a personal test ride. Service reach and long-term reliability are also important questions for a new product.

Who should consider it?

The DX is worth considering for urban users who value storage, convenience and a familiar step-through format. Buyers should compare real-world range, battery warranty, charger type, service locations and total on-road cost with established electric scooters before booking.
